We asked our wedding party to write a little bit about how they know us! We are so excited to have such a wonderful group of people by our side for our big day!

I first met Drew when I was in grade 6 at James McQueen public school. I was the new kid in school and right away I remember Drew offering me a seat beside his seat and being friendly right away. There were a few times when we played hockey and soccer together and he was by far the most fun one to be around. It was not until high school however when I really got to know Drew. We played ultimate frisbee together, went to the same youth group, and eventually got to experience God’s power together in Nicaragua. I think that is where we truly became best friends together. Not really in Nicaragua itself but the preparation we were given the opportunity to open up to each other and talk about things we wouldn’t normally talk about at school. Even today it can be weeks or months sometimes without seeing each other but when we do it’s like we are picking up exactly where we left off before and that nothing has changed, except now he’s getting married, that’s a big change. I am honoured to be able to stand next to Drew on one of the happiest days of his life. I’m so happy for the Bride and the Groom!

It’s a pretty straight forward story as to how I met Andrew, he’s my brother. Due to this I’ve known him for some time and never seem to be able to quite shake him. Nevertheless we try and make the best of it, sometimes doing fun, crazy stuff and more often than not staying out of each other’s way. It wasn’t until quite some time into my life that I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah, however. She was very quiet at first, but ever so slowly seemed to grow accustomed to the loud, exciting Bullock household. Knowing that she was a camp counsellor at camp Cherith made it very easy to recognize that she is a great person, and we soon found out that she is an excellent cook, among other things. It’s always evident when she and Andrew are together that they make a great pair and we were delighted when we found out they were engaged. I can’t wait until they get married so that Sarah will officially be a part of our family, and also so that Sarah can never give him back.

Hola peuples, I'm Joe / Joseph / Momentum / Mojo / Moseph / Jomentum / the good looking one of the family. Somehow I made the groomsman cut. People are saying it was nepotism but they're probably jealous they weren't invited to be part of the wedding party for the coolest wedding of the year. I've known Andrew for over seventeen years now, for obvious reasons, what with him being my brother and all. Sarah on the other hand I haven't know for quite as long. Is it because Andrew didn't want me to scare her off if she met me before they had dated for almost a year? Most likely. Since meeting her however I have come to know Sarah as a fantastic girl who is a great fit with Andrew. I'm very excited that she is going to be joining our family as well as being very surprised Andrew was able to land such a cool girl.

Hello, my name is Stephen Card. This paragraph will tell you how I met Sarah and Andrew. Let’s start off with Sarah. One day a long long time ago (1997) I was born. When I first opened my eyes I saw my mom, dad and my sister Sarah! I met Sarah when I was born. We grew up together, having lots of fun times doing crafts and other things that brothers and sisters do. My sister is a pretty cool gal and she is the reason I met Andrew. Sarah went off to camp for the whole summer and when I came to pick her up i seen this very tall man carrying her luggage to the vehicle. My first reaction was “oooooh Sarah has a crush!” Later they become more than friends and I get to meet a pretty cool guy! Together they are pretty cute and I’m super happy for them both! Congratulations!

Sarah and I met when we were 4 years old in Miss Dianne's nursery school class. We were both pretty shy so I'm pretty sure the teacher set us up to be friends. I guess it worked because we were friends all throughout elementary school. We really became best friends in highschool. We didn't have too many classes together but the ones we did we purposely selected because we knew we'd be in the same class. Sarah came to my house every day for lunch and after 4 years she ended up eating the majority of our applesauce. Recently, we haven't been able to see each other as often as we'd like, but when we do it's like nothing has changed. I am so happy for Sarah and Andrew and I'm honoured to be a part of their special day.

I have known Sarah my entire life. She was an integral part of my Sundays at church during my school years. She is a kind, sensitive girl with a little bit of a wild side that keeps things interesting. Seriously, the fire mania is getting a little out of hand. I met Andrew through Sarah and saw immediately how happy he made her. Andrew has supplied continual encouragement to Sarah, helping her come out of her shell over the years of their relationship. They bring out the best in each other. I can only say how excited I am to get to know this amazing couple further in the years to come.

How I Met Sarah:
How I met her….hmmm…I guess that would be church, but to be
honest I have somewhat of a lack of memory of that day. I was an infant :P
Charlotte, Sarah and I met through our moms at church when we were very young
and have been good friends ever since. I remember so many playdates, birthday
parties, Sunday school classes, CCCC barbeques (at Sarah’s house), and, as we
got older, coffee and breakfast dates.
Sarah has always been a sweet friend and it has been so
exciting seeing that beautiful girl come out of herself more and experiment
(very successfully) with so many different hobbies. From sewing BEAUTIFUL
dresses (and a backdrop that we worked on together), to solving Rubik’s cubes
in record time, to snapping lovely photos, to being a genius at computer
systems I will never understand, I am so proud of all she has accomplished and
continues to work so hard at. I can’t wait for her wedding for MANY good
reasons, but I must say I am very excited to see all her DIY work come together
haha. She has an inspiring heart after God and I have shared many beautiful
moments of prayer, worship, and God-talk with her over the last several years.
She throws her heart into her school work, her Bible study, and her
relationships.
I remember when I started seeing wedding posts on her
Pinterest and the giggles (and stern looks) we shared as she confessed how she
had narrowed down her potential engagement rings. I just
can’t believe my friend will be a Mrs. so soon…but I can’t think of anyone
better to share her with ;) I guess this
isn’t so much how I met Sarah, since I don’t remember that, but just a brief
summary of the beautiful person she is to me. Sarah, don’t ever forget to keep
moving forward and that I love you. You are my friend and my sister in Christ,
and the encouragement we have been to each other means so much to me. Can’t
wait to see you walk down that aisle <3 <3 <3
How I Met Andrew:
I remember being SO excited to meet Andrew for the first
time. It was wonderful to see Sarah so happy and she had told us so many good
things about his sense of humour and his faith and his respect for her. I
remember how much Charlotte and I were looking forward to meeting him the night
of the Corn Maze with our youth group (on Halloween). But I worried I may have
given a bit of a strange first impression given that my costume was 7 of 9 (a
Borg-human hybrid from Star Trek Voyager…my favourite character but a bit of an
imposing one haha). Anyway, I still don’t know how much I scared him with my
cyborg “implants” and my “resistance is futile”…especially since he was nervous
about meeting us anyway ;) Anyway, we had such a great time. It was pretty cute
how shy he was at first, but I immediately thought they looked good together
and as the night went on (and we needed more and more help from Mr. Map-Expert)
he came out of his shell and our whole team appreciated not only his skills but
the fact that he was okay with our craziness. He fit in really well with the 3
Musketeers (Sarah, Charlotte and myself).
As they continued dating I loved hearing from Sarah how it
was going and what a gentleman Andrew was to her. My protective instinct was
more than reassured by his character and the way they were together. Andrew, I
am so glad to know you and hope that as you and Sarah start a new chapter of
life together the rest of us will see more of you (I’m sure if I just hold out
some matches you’ll follow us wherever we want to go).

How I Met Sarah:
I first met Sarah a few years ago when Andrew brought her home to introduce her to our family. As soon as I met Sarah, I knew she was (and is) the one and only girl for my brother. I may not know much about Sarah except for her birthday and that she loves photography, sewing, and doing other super awesome crafts, but I know enough. I know that she is sweet and kind and generous and the best person I could ever hope to have as a part of my family. I also know that Andrew loves her very much, enough to want to spend a lifetime with her. She is a wonderful person and I can't wait until she is (legally) a part of our family. Sarah, I can't wait to see you walking down that aisle with my brother with tears sparkling in his eyes and he waits to start the rest of his life with you. You are the most beautiful person, inside and out, and if he ever lets you go, I personally will coat the inside of his clothes with itching powder and place Lego blocks on his floor while he sleeps. I hope, Sarah, that you know what I know. I hope you love yourself the way Andrew loves you, because you deserve it. And most sincerely, I hope that you and Andrew get to spend the rest of your lives
How I Met Andrew:
I first met Andrew hours after I was born. Despite the fact that we may not always get along, I am proud to call him part of my family and proud to be able to call him my older brother. He is smart and kind and, believe it or not, most certainly deserves a girl such as Sarah. How he ever managed to find one, though, I have no idea. There really isn't much to say about Andrew. Again, we have our differences, but (and I don't say this enough to you, Andrew), I love you and you have been a huge part of my life. Now you get to be a part of Sarah's life, and I know that you will not take this opportunity lightly, nor should you. I can't wait to see Sarah walking down that aisle, and I can't wait to see your face light up when you see her the way it always does. You and Sarah will have a long, sweet life together, and I feel blessed that I get to share in it, however small a part that is. Thank you, Andrew, for everything. You deserve this day.
